Homeschooling

Ouch. I went on a hike earlier this week. I am still in pain. I have been on a kick lately to “get” more healthy and part of that has been weekly hike with homeschool group. The weather has been beautiful all week and I have been trying to go for walks and went this afternoon a VERY long hike. The kids were not too impressed by the 3+ hour hike. Exactly halfway into it neither was I. I knew I was doomed! No water… too hot.. no sunscreen.. miserable.. sweaty and lungs hurt. It become less about enjoying nature and more about catching my breath and not falling down or tripping on a tree root .. I was concerned a bit about my safety and hurting myself.
I did enjoy some goof conversation with another mom- but overall - hikes are up there with mountain climbing and Dancing with the Stars- over rated. Next week I will go on a good, brisk sit.
