Homeschooling

Wow- we had 5 kids sleep over in addition to our own there. Yikes. Makes for a lot of fun- but also creates ALOT of noise!
Without a doubt one of the most common misconceptions people have about homeschooling is that we are social shut-ins. Nothing could be further from the truth. We went to 2 pot-lock dinners this week, a theater group, rehearsal, swimming party an horseback riding this week, I have had kids here every day all week. Piano lesson, guitar and soccer.
Last night as I said we had 5 other kids stay over. They played rock band most of the night and had the usual sleepover food- save for a couple of kids who are vegans. I have been keeping a regular supply of soya and rice mil in the house for all these kids who are respecting animals and do not eat meat or animal products.

I used to get pretty frazzled with lots of kids in the house- young ones especially! But as they get older it gets much much easier- especially when they can cook on their own.
