Near Breaking Point From Raccoons- They Must Go!

Published by homeschooling under General Edit This

I cannot take it anymore! I called local wildlife removal companies to see if they could get rid of them for me. The cost to remove is 300.00 PER animal. If its a mother raccoon with 4 babies than we are looking at 1500.00. The service also includes finding how they are getting in and blocking their access point. I just want them gone, The sound of them chattering and scurrying around under our house i making me a bit crazy- the kids were terrified at first and now used to it. It is just so embarrassing when they have friends over and they remark on how house smells or are scared of the sounds they make.

We have tired every way I can think of to get rid of the raccoons- moth balls three times now. Ammonia soaked rags in a container, loud music during the day to scare them off. Still here. They should be leaving soon. I did find out how they are getting is and will close up when they are gone. I cant; do now or they will starve and do everything they can to break out. If I trap mom I am not sure if babies would survive. I think I will buy a live trap and capture when I am confident they can safely be out without their mother. I hate this SO much!I did try and make this into an unschooling experience and we looked up some info on raccoons- but to be honest it just freaked me out thinking of them so close and hearing other stories. A common way for raccoon to get into the actual living area of the house is through pet doors! I couldn’t imagine coming downstairs and find a live raccoon in my kitchen .
